Students at Sunderland University have organised a fashion swap shop for those who want to help the planet or may be struggling in the cost of living crisis.
Julia Bells, a film production student, is the driving force behind the initiative, supported by film and media lecturer, Dr Barbara Sadler.
Not only can you pick up some stylish new clothes for free, it is also a sustainable way to recycle your old clothes and get something new in return!
Dr Barbara Sadler said: “It is 2025 and a clothing swap shop is fabulous, sustainable, and free and there are not many things that you can say that about.”

The swap shop, held in the foyer of the David Puttnam Media Centre, has proved so successful that future dates have been added on Wednesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 7 from 10 am to 1 pm.
Explaining how the Swap Shop works, Julia said: You give us old donated clothes and swap it for a ticket. Each item is worth one ticket and you can use the tickets to purchase swapped items – the items on the rails.”
