This year marks 70 years of Dick Bruna’s illustrated and beloved character Miffy. Known as Nijntje in her homeland, the Netherlands, Miffy is a little white rabbit with distinctive facial features: two little eyes and a cross mouth.
Due to these birthday celebrations, Leeds City Museum is hosting a Miffy exhibition. Running from 7th February until 7th September, visitors from across the country can visit and marvel over the creation of Miffy and scenes from some of her many adventures. The exhibition contains scenes of Miffy camping, Miffy at School and Miffy with her friends, all straight from Bruna’s most popular books.
With Miffy trending on TikTok and social media again, Miffy has collaborated with clothing brands such as Uniqlo, Daisy Street and Primark to create an affordable and quirky way to join in on the fun and celebrate this childhood legend.
